RWI creates opportunities for a better future, ensuring dignity and self-reliance for the underprivileged.

Rural Welfare Institute (Gramya Kalyan), locally known as RWI, was established on 12th May 1984 in the village of Hansapara, Nimpara Block, Puri District, Odisha. Starting with just 30 dedicated members from various villages, RWI has grown into a well-recognized organization working across multiple districts in Odisha.
We are committed to socio-economic empowerment, focusing on social and financial inclusion, institutional promotion, education, governance, women and child development, disaster management, sanitation, environmental development, healthcare, insurance, livelihood generation, skill training, awareness programs, and handicraft promotion
Our Objectives
Community Awareness: Organizing and educating communities about their rights and entitlements.
Youth Empowerment: Providing skill development and employment opportunities to unemployed youth.
Collaboration & Advocacy: Addressing developmental issues and coordinating with government agencies, NGOs, financial institutions, and local governance bodies to bring meaningful change.

Our mission is to empower vulnerable families in Odisha by providing sustainable self-employment opportunities, enabling them to maintain their dignity and contribute to society by 2030.
